Abosede Olayinka Abiodun Memorial Scholarship Fund

Our father, Mr. Abosede Olayinka Abiodun was sincerely passionate about education, particularly early childhood education, and he made that passion his life’s work. He worked for the Lagos State Ministry of Education in various capacities focused on Universal Basic Education; acquired a postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Education; and founded a consultancy focused on helping public and private schools across the country be the best that they could be.

He passed away on May 29th, 2015 and in the decade since, we have sought out ways to honour his memory in our day to day lives. To mark the 10-year anniversary, we have decided to honour the great gift and privilege of a world-class education afforded to us by offering the same opportunity to students in need. It is for this purpose that we have decided to establish the Abosede Olayinka Abiodun Memorial Scholarship Fund to expand access to high-quality primary and secondary education for low-income Nigerian youth.

Starting in the 2025/2026 school year which commences in September 2025, the foundation will sponsor two (2) children on a full scholarship to St. Saviour’s School, Ebute-Meta. The pledge will consist of continued financial support and mentorship from Primary 1 through to Primary 6 and to a secondary school of similar repute from JSS1 through to SSS3, as long as the children remain in good academic standing. The selection and evaluation of eligible beneficiaries will be completed by the foundation’s officers in partnership with the school and other community partners.
